November 23rd is Thanks Giving Day!

Do you know what it means to “be thankful?”
The holiday known as Thanksgiving is celebrated every fourth Thursday of November in the United States. This is a day that we spend with family and friends, thinking about all of the things in life that we are thankful for. Of course, we also have a huge feast with an oven-cooked turkey!
Today, the kindergarten celebrated Thanksgiving by making paper bag turkey puppets. They decorated their turkeys with colorful feathers, eyes, and a beak that they cut by themselves. On the front of the turkey they wrote “I’m thankful for…” and wrote or drew the things that are special in their life.
We hope that you can spend quality time together tomorrow as a family, and be thankful for all that you have.
Enjoy the holiday!

Turkey is a symbolic animal of Tanks Giving. We were making Turkeys with a hint of autumn! Leaves! We used leaves to replace the Turkey’s beautiful feathers.
