Currently, Kindergarten is working on a project about “The Eye.”
Last week, a K4 student, T, kindly brought in an anatomical model of the human eye. This valuable model was borrowed from his grandfather, who is an ophthalmologist.
The children were highly engaged and gathered around the model with great curiosity, carefully observing and exploring it together. During work time, they were able to hold it at the research table and examine it from different angles. This hands-on experience led to many discoveries that would not have been possible through books, photographs, or online resources alone.
The children were deeply fascinated by the complexity and delicate structure of the eye, and their observations naturally led to further questions and new insights. It was clear that their understanding was expanding through direct experience and shared exploration.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to T’s family for kindly sharing this meaningful learning opportunity, which greatly enriched the children’s inquiry into the topic of “the eye.”
